Could not be more pleased with Pumphrey's for my mothers funeral and burial services. I cannot recommend this place without making a special note to commend/recommend Shelby Kelley. Shelby went above and beyond, providing hands on care and services, for what could have been an unpleasant experience. The kindness, thoughtfulness and support given to me by Will while arranging for my husband's cremation made a huge difference in lessening the grief I felt by his passing. I was helped to chose exactly what I wanted for him after being given all the options. It made his cremation ceremony a more personal event in which I felt I had helped him finally get to compete peace after his suffering had ended. Also, my final memory of him will be something I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I am using this comment box to compliment Pumphrey staff members as their service was excellent. Rob K. explained and handled everything excellently, and he personally delivered to my house my husband's container of ashes, with certificate of cremation, plus the envelope with death certificates. Miriam G. at the Bethesda office was excellent in contacting me and sending a working copy of death certificate for my review --where she asked me to carefully review all items including medical information. I discovered some medical errors, and I had to quickly contact the certifying physician to make corrections as there was a tight time frame from State of Maryland. Miriam kept in close touch with me and followed up promptly to let me know that all corrections were made. The sincere and personal service by both Rob and Miriam was very much appreciated at such a sad and difficult time. They are valuable and important ambassadors representing Pumphrey Funeral Home. I would also like to mention that Liz, Ruth, Kenny and Eric at the Rockville location were also very helpful. My grateful appreciation and thanks to Pumphrey Funeral Home.
