On Monday, August 5, 2013 at his home in Bethesda, MD. Ambassador Luisi was a dedicated lawyer and public servant, serving as Uruguay's Foreign Minister, from 1966-69 and twice as the Uruguayan Ambassador, as well as assisting in drafting that country's new constitution. He is the beloved husband of the late Blanca Grosso de Luisi; loving father of Blanca L. Ruebensaal (the late Clayton, Jr.) and Hector E. Luisi (Claire); adored grandfather of Clayton, III (Rebecca) and Virginia Ruebensaal, Katherine Carter (Maurio), Paola, Felipe and Elena Luisi; cherished great grandfather of Penn Ruebensaal.
