On Thursday, January 17, 2013, of Germantown, MD. Beloved husband of Constance A. Kanaris; loving father of Alexis (and Mina) Kanaris, Michael (and Katherine) Cook and Kenneth (and Suzie) Cook; brother of Virginia Vlassopoulos and Katina (and Nassi) Karahalios and the late Dimitra Arni; grandfather of Sava, Basil and Taki Cook and James Wardrick; son of the late Ioannis and Margarita Kanaris; son-in-law of Bessie Ahiouris; brother-in-law of Audrey Jalepes and Helen and Peter Charuhas and the late Cathy Duble. Mr. Kanaris is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends at PUMPHREY'S COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. (Route 28 just off I-270, exit 6-A) Rockville, MD on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A service will be held at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, MD 20817 on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10 AM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church at the above address.
